I suppose i've been through a lot the past few weeks and I've not much motivation to try and attempt to write about it in LJ. If anyone cares to know, you can contact me by other means. This has been a very painful and confusing experience. I thought it was over and I was recovering, but now it seems like it's not. I wish there was something I could do to just end it all. |

My scanner/printer thing is screwed up again and I got so much to scan ARGHHH. I got a pitch to throw on Monday for a feature film based on Shadow Magic and I can't scan the materials AAAAHHH *pulls out hair* HATE THIS MACHINE! Never buy Brother products people- just DON'T!!!!!
Met with the HK Animation company again (Agogo corporation) and they were really cool. The dude I met in the development department is like on my wavelength here thank god so it was really easy to talk with him about Shadow Magic as a series and also getting on board their creative/development team for some other series they have on the drawing board too. Interesting they disclosed some of those storylines to me since I don't recall signing an NDA *sweat*... regardless I'm under a personal deadline to get to them updated chara design packs and whateva for the series bible etc. etc. by sometime next week. I should finish putting together the pilot episode animatic. I think I have all the main people's lines in from a while ago so it should be okay.. I hope... x__X oh... I don't have Sable's, Shadow's or Mirage's I think. Darn. All the bad guys ran off hahaha.
Me is sad. qRO has been down for over a week and not back yet >___> and Mt is not online T___T wahh although he always seemed to log on when I was able to get online in HK o__O? Hmmmmmmm
okay this is hilarious. I'm amusing myself by listening to the old shadow magic audio drama. It's actually quite good... Damn you Tokyopop for stealing my audio drama thing. ARGH I blame TIM!!! Forshame!! He never even mentioned it to me! After i was pushing for audio dramas a year ago when I first started chatting with him- since he was totally into radio plays too.
Oh yes, and I went to Nagoya, Kyoto, Osaka and Isu in the span of like 4 days >__>... of course those 4 days.. THOSE 4 days I caught a freaking cold and lost my freaking voice. The time I wanted to sing the most and I couldn't.... COULDN'T!!!!!! OMFG that pisses me off SO much!!!!!!!!!! T__________________T and the house in china is so BORING and the mosquitos ate my eyes out... i don't think I could ever live there. There's like nothing out there >_<. HK maybe but not China. Arghhhh and now I'm not too keen on going so far away T____T

Hmm.. going to HK in a week. Won't be back until November 6th. Donovan's bummysitting here. Nelo and Soul are taking care of my RO accounts. *sigh* So restless. You know, I think I lost any motivation to do manga and/or singing. *shrug* Oh well...
Two level 99's for me and my guild has acquired a castle. We'll probably lose it tomorrow at WoE. Need to go for a different one that's easier to defend. |

Yes, I haven't been around in a looonnngg time. I guess a bit occupied with the two Michaels and Last Soul. Things are getting... complicated. The last week I had a recent downswing and things aren't so good with the publisher. more and more I get the feeling he has no clue what he's doing.
AX was also a nightmare. The trip there and back was horrible and sleepless. At-con, more problems than you can imagine. HOwever, the lovely Yaya Han was kind enough to share her artist alley table with me in time of need... I can't thank her enough. Met lots of people I don't feel like trying to sort out into a list right now, but this year I think the con-goers were better than usual.
I'm just not much of a fan of cons anymore... nor watching anime it seems. Too busy playing and socializing on RO maybe. I've lost all sense of anything from crappy feeling. I dont' know what to do anymore. I'd love to just run off to HK and start over from nothing.
Mt (Michael #2?) is coming up from LA area for Anime Evolution. I think Michael will be here at that time too. That should be interesting. Though I'm starting to dread what might happen... at least I have HK to look forward to in the fall. And Japan......... I am going to go all-out the moment I step on that archepelago. I will sing dammit. I am going to sing no matter what.

I had a dream about flying through clouds and stuff over green hills and forests as a griffin... a dream about a cat whose face would turn inside out and black if you recognized it for what it was (some kind of monster) and a dream about a kid in an abandoned robot factory who created an army of robots and went up against the military. Yep, dreams are great!
So I finished the book today. EVERYTHING except the credits hahaa~ I guess I really only have three, plus dedication to my mom ^_^. I tried to make a new logo/title for Smagic and I think I like it actually... we'll see what the publisher says. I'll probably discuss how the layout of the book is since there is a double page spred in the last chapter.
now I'll do some commissions and illusts and prepare for the next book. Hopefully book 2 will be on shelves no more than 3 months after this one. @__@ I wish I could hire more help... God this sucks. When am I gonna sing??
Um yeah. Dunno about AX. Since Wilson isn't going and Sonja may not, I need to find other room arrangements. As there is no way Im' staying with Dan & Lana ~______~. And hurry to get the sellers permit cause it's so late. Sent the artist alley forms and payment.
Nelo lent me his angel wings. Also his empyrium anvil >_> wow and he says he'll never give away stuff for free. Bloody Angeling. Everyone is after it so I doubt I'll ever get angel wings of my own T__T. Maybe I'll be able to take part it WoE next Saturday since I joined Arch Angels. |

Sorry sorry~ So busy can't update!! Haven't gottena table for Anime Expo, haven't gotten a seller's permit, still don't know for sure how i"m getting there and haven't replied to Vicky about sharing room T___T Haven't replied to the publisher and haven't mailed Tim at TP for ages.... and not to mention that commission from fire-dancing lady. Theres just NO TIME *cry*
Deadline in less than two weeks and I still have all the lettering and sound effects and a couple of backgrounds to do as well as the layout of the book and credits/omake pages. THEN I get to go around and promote. Damn so behind in everything I can't do so many things at once.

Having a root canal done. I was in sooo much pain the other day, they started it the same day. Second session is this monday. I hope it will not hurt after that since the nerves should all be taken out >_>. Monday is going to be very.... interesting with the combination of being drugged up and having someone over in the evening. I wonder when I will get some work done?
I've been struggling with the last leg of the script for Shadow Magic. and only one month left to finish the last two chapters.
Meanwhile, my RO wedding was mightily messed up thanks to some... "guests" and a buggy npc. Wow lost a lot of money and time and plenty o frustration ta boot T______T. It was kinda depressing. *sniffu* So much for our wedding!! We're gonna try again tomorrow, but maybe not invite certain meddlers. I met Lana on RO. She asked me to be her bridesmaid for her wedding. And also to help her plan things because she has no idea what to do. Omg... why me??? WHY??? *sigh* I realyl didn't want to be caught up in that affair, but it looks like I will anyway. Just because they are still friends, no matter what. I will do my best.
Meanwhile, Tarra and Theo are also engaged. It's like.. everyone is getting married all of a sudden!! o__O
Wow.. I'm so distracted lately. I don't know what's wrong with me >__< can't concentrate on work at all.. can't even type properly anymore!!! waaahhh *tries to clear mind and focus on work* Hmmmm....... Talked with Michael tonight, so I'm happy ^____^.

It's been a while since I've written anything, hasn't it?
Tomorrow I'll be working on the KAGE site and plan to get it up and updated then.
Dan got engaged to Lana. For real x______x... that was a bit shocking/sudden. Though I did suspect something would happen even though Dan kept implying he didn't like Lana that much. I found out like... two nights ago. Hmmm... at least I can pretend I'm engaged hahaaa yay Michael. He always seems to find the thing to say to make me feel better about things. *_____* man, that was such a bad night >___>
Went to DDR with Adam a few nights back. He gave me something he made like 6 months ago but never got the chance to give it to me^^;; It was sooo awesome!!! He painted SASUKE on a glass bowl with a message in Japanese on it *laughs* I gotta find a place to put it now...
Manga is coming along. About finished 122 pages. So that leaves around 48 pages (two more chapters) to do for June 15th. I think I'll put some fun character bonus pages in the end of the book, too. I'm still thinking on the insert item. Maybe make it a pull out poster for the first volume? Or a postcard... *ponders*
I'll be doing a panel about making manga/drawing at Anime Evolution in August and also a vendors table since the Shadow Magic Manga should be in print and for sale at that time. There will also be a Shadow Magic goodie in the registration bags for AE.
Went shopping today and got a new short flowy white skirt, nearly transparent top and sandal/ballet slipper things. Cool stuff! I will model it later. *sigh* I still want to sing... |

Not much to update I'm afraid. Manga continuing somewhat on schedule. I'll probably be doing some tones after I get the lines done. Sonja's been really stressed out lately, which is understandable. A lot going on this week.
My mom is back from Pittsburgh bridge tournament and gone again this weekend to Vic for Easter. Sonja was over and we practiced our song for Sakura Con- it sounds pretty good! I'll be doing some choreography this week for it.
I got engaged! kekeke... on RO >__> alhtough he says he will visit me this summer but he's in Toronto^^;; should be interesting. Hmmm everyone wants to marry my assassin- was asked 3 times in like 2 days by totally different guys ~_~. YAY RO. they are shutting down the server for 6 hours everyday since thier bandwidth died this month (between 3-9pm) which is probably good so I'm not so distracted from work. *cough* if it's not other things...
Tomorrow I'm going to an Easter celebration at Wilson's church so I'll be meeting him at the skytrain station at 12. Later I'm supposed to meet Dan, since we haven't hung out in a long time. Donovan's as elusive as usual.. though we're supposed to get together next week. And also Norbert... I like being busy ^_^. Haven't seen/heard much of Adam lately. Maybe that's a good thing since he usually makes me angry or depressed.

Finished drawing Chapter 01 (technically chapter 2, since chapter 00 precedes it in the book) so about 60 pages are done. I'm thumbnailing chapter 02 this weekend. The tones for Chapter 01 should be done today- Sonja's doing an amazing job keeping up despite everything! I'm so happy to have met someone with an excellent work ethic and talent to boot!! Whoot~!
The editor at Arcana decided to use a different illust for the cover ("Tears Bled") which to me doesn't really sum up the story, but makes it look really girly or something. Oh well.. can't do much about it if that's what he wants for the cover^^;
Ergh I gotta do laundry today. And clean bummies. Myes. |

Signed the contract with Arcana today. Another long drive out to Lougheed/Coquitlam >_>. I also discovered that bucket hats (aka the "Masa Hat")look good on me^^;
Shadow Magic 01 is scheduled to be out on shelves in August/September! uwaahh My final deadline is still June 15th x____x that still means 3-5 pages a day to leave room for final edits before turning it in. Whoooot~ I don't think I could do it if I was toning everything myself XD. YAY for Sonja!!
I'm gonna see if they'll make posters for us to take to Sakura Con. Maybe we can get free industry passes. I know I can get them for AX, but never really tried for SC. Oh yeah, and they are gonna take the 2006 calender, too~ (out Oct/Nov this year)
Gonna make an animated .gif banner for Arcana's site later. And gonna recolor the SMagic cover to soft-style. He's more into the water color/painterish look^^;; Ok... don't expect to see me online during daytime! |

Somehow it turned out pretty dark. Maybe my monitor is too bright...
It is meant to be sideways like the +Anima covers! Thought it might stand out better and be mildly different from the rest of the manga stuff. I'm glad Arcana isn't so anal about printing measurements and things different from the norm.
Oh yeah got an expensive scanner/photocopier/fax combo thing (it's HUGE) yesterday. i'm gonna have to manage some commissions to make up the cost of it. ~$700 after taxes. Maybe it will work better with my computer since my current scanner is like... 5 years old and slow as hell ~_~. It has issues scanning at bloody 600dpi, how can it possibly manage 1200?? The new one scans up to 9600 so that's new to me. Whether my comp likes those monster images or not is another question.
I got a bunch of viruses from the qRO install files. They're gone now, but the game is ok. Card drops are like... never >_< I need cards!!! Of course I'm not playing much the last few days. Today I will work on the thumbnails for chapter 01 SMagic.

Finalizing contract with Arcana for vol.1 Shadow Magic (5 - 6 chapters). Full cover cover is due this Friday with synopsis for approval since we're going ahead with the Anime Expo printing and August/September publication. Damnnn I am sooo happy that Sonja will still do the toning with no upfront pay *sniffu sniffu* and even Wilson offered to help with backgrounds! Yesterday was my last day at Bardel. Christina, my immediate supervisor, treated us to lunch (Me, Sonja and the two guys who sat on either side of me, Wilson and Paul). I didn't get to talk to Robert again before I left. Lauren, then techie guy gave me a copy of CTP Pro, a simpler digi ink and paint program than USAnimation so I'm gonna try it out. Bardel used it a couple years ago for production so it must be decent enough. At least until I can ask Norbert to figure out USAnimation since LAuren couldn't!! Yay for knowing obsessive programmers ^^;; He also does a scary homeless guy hobble >__>
Today I am doing the pencils and possibly inks of the cover for SMagic. The thumbnails for chapters one (and maybe two) will be done by Sunday. The final deadline for all 5-6 chapters is May 15th. Now we have to settle the contracts with Hannah & Sonja. Aiyaaa gotta promote like crazyyy~ After I filled Sonja in with the SMagic story, she even said the scope was just so large she couldn't summarize it in a couple of sentences. Best I can do is "sci-fi, fantasy, action, drama, romance" *sweatdrops*.

Hmm... long time no see? Went to a movie with Norbert on Friday (and his polka dot shirts). Met up with Wilson and Sonja on Saturday at Aberdeen. Did some shopping... went to see Constantine. <--- that was a cool movie. Gabriel was awesome. Sunday, met with Sonja again and went to the fashion show at Aberdeen since they missed it the day before. We have fun dressing all cute! It seems unavoidable we get into this drunken stupor when we're together. Not so sure if that's a good thing or not >_>. It's been a really long time since I've laughed that hard.
We're practicing a duet for karaoke contest and she is excited about doing some collab commissions among collab 101 other things x_X. Working through the contract with Arcana for Shadow Magic and it seems promising. So right now we are going ahead as though the contract has been signed- still gotta get lawyer to go through it again.
All is slow on the Tokyopop front. It's more a challenge of developing the story than actually getting it drawn right now. Too bad they didn't like the original so much. It's resembling the original less and less which might be a good thing. I could change the characters names, alter their designs and even change the title of Soul Heaven to something else and it'd pass off as its own unrelated story. (er.. ok maybe not quite)
Finishing up at Bardel next Tuesday though I have the producers' assistance in pitching to the studio Shadow Magic series. Also some leads into other studios from there (Atomic and Studio B mainly) since Robert is extremely helpful in an odd way. He kind of intimidates me^^;;
Meanwhile, RO continues. I've been hunting with Adam the last couple of nights and died soooo many times ~_~ we went to Glast Heim and it was every bit as dangerous as I suspected. There's no way I'd survive there soloing. Yeah, so my Assassin has all this elite gear... ninja suit, ghost bandanna, Remarkably critical jur, these weird sun glasses, mocking muffler etc. With perfect stats. Though I'm still lvl 68 and upping AGL. Myes... I've also been training Donovan and Sonja. Donovan hasn't been on in ages and Sonja... well not too sure about that one^^; she has a tendancy to run off and get lost. |
